Sixth Annual Girl Scout Nights

At Ramsey’s Farm

 

Who:          Daisy, Brownie, Juniors,
                    Girl Scouts and their Families

What:         This special event is open to Girl Scouts and their families.  Ramsey’s Farm celebrates Juliette Low’s October birthday.  Program includes a hayride, flashlight corn maze with Juliette Low trivia and bonfire.  Be sure to bring your flashlights!  Leaders may bring food for a picnic, tables are available for your convenience.  We have charcoal grills available for cooking, please bring your own cooking utensils.
We supply the charcoal.  You will find similarities from Juliette’s life to present day by looking for Native American food crops on the farm, tracking and using survival skills needed to navigate the mazes and our hayride symbolizes her childhood journey from Georgia to the North during the Civil War.

When:     Friday 10/26/07 and Saturday 10/27/07

Friday Afternoon, 2-5 p.m.  (includes educational narrated hayride, Juliette Low trivia maze and a small pumpkin)

Friday Evening, 6-9 p.m.  (includes night hayride, bonfire and Juliette Low trivia flashlight corn maze)

Saturday Evening, 6-9 p.m.  (includes night hayride, bonfire and Juliette Low trivia flashlight corn maze)

                        attending. ***

Cost:          $7 per person. Please send payment with
                    registration. If event is cancelled or your 
                    group has a last minute conflict for any reason
                    your tickets are valid for any of alternative nights
                    (except Boy Scouts Night) and can be
                    carried over to future year. 

Camping:    Please contact the Brandywine Creek State Park
                    to Reserve their "Primitive Camp Site" off
                    Thompson's Bridge Road.

Note:           You may begin arriving at 5:30 p.m. and
                    the last hayride leaves at 8:30 p.m. Don’t
                    forget to bring your flashlights!  
                    You must depart the farm by 10:00 p.m.

Registration Deadline:

10/15/07- send payment with completed registration form indicating the date and time you will attend.  Proof of payment will be mailed to you.  Your tickets  will be waiting for you at the event.  Tickets may also be purchased at the farm just prior to the event for $9.00 per attendee.  Any pre-paid tickets not picked up by the end of the season will be mailed to the contact person indicated on the registration form.

RAIN PROCEDURE: 

4 hours prior to the event you must call 302-477-1499 and select mailbox option 4 to see if the event has been postponed or canceled due to the weather!!!!! Your advance purchased tickets are valid for the rain date or any other night event at the farm with the exception of Boy Scouts Nights.  Your tickets can also be carried over to future years, but they are "NOT" refundable.
